FPSC Notice About CSS Exam 2015 Rules & Syllabus, Apply Online   

Federal public service commission FPSC has publicized a public notice about competitive examination CSS-2015. As per public notice FBSC will take the r Central Superior Service exam 2015 from Saturday, 14-02-15 for recruitment of 17 grade officers in different occupational groups/services of federal government.

Eligibility Criteria For CSS Exam 2015

1-FPSC has also announced the cut off date for determining the eligibilty of students in terms of age. Cut off date is 31st December, 2014.

2-Male, female and disable candidates can appear in exam.

3-Candidate’s age must be between 21 to 28 years on cut off date i.e 31-12-14.

4-Candidate must have got minimum 2nd division in his bachelor degree.

5-Two years relaxation in upper age limit can be granted to in categories mentioned in rule 2 of CSS CE rules 2015, but it is subject to fulfillment of documentary requirements.

Application Procedure For CSS Exam 2015

Interested candidates can apply online for CSS examination 2015 during the period 1st October to 31st October 2014. After the submission of online application submit the hard copy of online form and documents as per procedure stipulated in rule 7 of the CSS CE rules 2015. APLLY ONLINE HERE

1-Leave the multiple choice question if you don’t know the exact answer because negative marking rule applies on objective questions.

2- Chose the optional subjects very carefully. Try to opt such subjects about which you have sufficient knowledge. Try to opt those subjects which you had chosen in your intermediate and bachelor classes.

3-Just try to understand the basic theme and concept of each topic in spite of learning questions by heart.

4-Take the help of past papers to understand the structure and format of each paper and make your preparation strategy accordingly.

5-First prepare that paper in which you are weak. Make a set of important questions with the help of past papers and prepare them first.

6-Donot leave any subjective question in any paper. Try to attempt all the required questions.

8-Pre planed, irrelevant and generic answers will take you no where.

9-To the point and precise answer are more beneficial than irrelevant details.

13-You can avail just 3 chances for appearing in PMS and CSS exams so don’t spoil your chances. Don’t appear in the PMS and CSS exams without sufficient preparation.

14-Generally common students opt the combination of History, Sociology and Punjabi or Education in PMS . Group E, F and G are considered relatively easier. But it largely depends upon every individual’s own choice.

15-Law is a very wide subject even lawyers don’t prefer to opt it.

16- Some students opt English Literature as optional subject without having the back ground of this subject just for the purpose of improving their general English. But its a wrong approach as you need to improve your functional English for PMS exams and English literature has nothing to do with functional English.

17-Spend maximum time on preparation. Take the help of libraries, internet and newspapers for this purpose.

18-General knowledge, creative writing and English grammar/vocabulary are the keys to success in PMS and CSS exams. Improve your these skills.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have got at least 2nd division in graduation. Both male and female including disable persons are eligible to apply. Candidate’s age must be 21 to 28 years on 31.12-2014. Two years relaxation in upper age limit can be granted in categories mentioned in rule 3 of CSS CE rule-2015, but its too subject to fulfillment of documentary requirements.

Points to Remember

1-20% quota has been reserved for women and 5% for minorities within the share of provinces/regions.

2-Interested candidates can apply online on official website of FPSC from 1st October, 2014 till 31 October, 2014 after that send hard copy of online forma along with all required documents and treasury receipt of 2200 rupees so as to reach the FPSC Headquarters, Islamabad within 10 days of the closing date as per procedure stipulated in rule-7 of CSS CE rules-2015.

Instruction For Candidates

1-All the candidates must fill the online form very carefully. There must be no difference in the information given in online form and its hard copy.No subsequent alteration in the entries of online form shall be accepted.

2-Candidates are advised to deposit examination fee RS/- 2200 in the nearest government treasury, state bank or national bank of Pakistan under the account head C02101-Organs of state exam fee (FPSC Receipt).

3-Send attested copies of all required documents, photographs, and original fee deposit slip with the hard copy of online form to Secretary FPSC so as it must reach FPSC headquarters, Islamabad within 10 days of last date.

4-Select the optional subjects carefully in accordance with appendix-1 of the rules for CSS CE-2015.

5-Candidates will not be allowed to change their center or optional subjects later on.

6-Enter your accurate national card identity number and date of birth both in online formand in its hard copy. Your application will be rejected in case of wrongly entered national identity card number or date of birth.
In case of violation of any rules of CSS CE- 2015 your form will be rejected.

Preston University Denies The Expulsion of BBA Student For Raising Slogan of Go Nawaz Go

On 23r September 2014 Zakir Zahid, a student of BBA in Preston University raised a slogan(Go Nawaz Go) during a function held at campus in which Ahsan Iqbal (Federal Minister of Planning an Development ) was also present. After that function it was reported in electronic and print media that said student has been expelled by the administration on government’s pressure. Students were raising questions about his expulsion from the university in social media and institute was also facing an embarrassing situation. It was taken as an act against democratic norms and values.

But today university has made it clear through a newspaper ad that all news about expulsion of Zakir Zahid from the university are baseless and he is still taking the classes in the campus as regular student. Microsoft Announces Windows 10, Skipping Windows 9

Microsoft on Tuesday announced a brand-new Windows operating system. During a special event today in San Francisco, Microsoft officially announced Windows 10. One major change is that Windows 10, launching to the public in 2015, effectively does away with the "Metro" tile interface from Windows 8.

  

 "Going forward, Microsoft is planning to make regular, smaller updates to the Windows 10 codebase, rather than pushing out new major updates years apart," Foley added. "Windows 10 will have a common codebase across multiple screen sizes, with the UI tailored to work on those devices."

  

According to Zdnet's report, Microsoft will release a preview build of Windows Ten in the coming week. It is unclear when the new OS will be launched publicly, or if there is any truth to the report that Windows 8 users will get a free upgrade to Windows 10

Windows 8, released in October 2012, was controversial in that it introduced a touch-focused tile design that was dramatically different to Windows 7. Microsoft addressed these criticisms with frequent--and substantial updates--including Windows 8.1. The company isn't starting over with Windows 10, but Microsoft appears to be taking a more measured approach with Windows 10.

PROTEST OF STUDENTS OF GHAZI KHAN MEDICAL COLLEGE DERA GHAZI KHAN AGAINST PMDC

Dozens of students of Ghazi Khan Medical College on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against the delay in the registration of the institute with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

The students boycotted classes and took out a rally from the college to the commissioner’s office.

 The protesters said that classes had started at the college in 2010, but it had not been recognised yet. “Our careers are in jeopardy as the PMDC has yet to recognise the college,” said Muneeb Abbas, a student. He said that the college was also short of staff.

“Most senior teachers have been transferred,” another student, Muhammad Shiraz said.

The Express Tribune has learnt that Dr Ghulam Mustafa (professor of surgery), Dr Muhammad Aslam (professor of ENT), Dr Samina (professor of pharmacology), Dr Lubna (professor of gynecology), Dr Altaf Qadir (associate professor), Dr Shaukat Hussain (associate professor of surgery), Dr Nasir Gopang (assistant professor of medicine) and Dr Muhammad Ishaq (assistant professor of surgery) have been transferred from the college within the last six months.

There are only two professors (anatomy and bio-chemistry) still teaching at the college.

Demonstrators are teaching in place of professors and assistant professors in forensic and pharmacology departments.

Bilal Afzal, another protesting student, said that the government had set up medical colleges in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal.

“All the new medical colleges, except ours, have been recognised by the PMDC,” he said.

The protesters appealed to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the delay in the registration of the college. They also demanded that the college be affiliated with the University of Health Sciences and not the Ghazi University.

Some Young Doctors Association leaders also participated in the protest.

Ghazi Khan Medical College Principal Dr Shamim Hassan told The Express Tribune that the college had met all the conditions set by the PMDC for registration.

“Our registration was going to be approved by the PMDC when its governing body was dissolved three months ago,” he said.

MEDICAL COLLEGE HEADS SAYS NO TO PROPOSAL FOR 50 PER CENT SEATS FOR BOYS

  

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s proposal to reserve 50 per cent seats in medical colleges for boys will amount to gender discrimination, a committee formed by the chief minister on the matter said on Wednesday. The number of boys in medical colleges in the Punjab is currently around 32 per cent.

The committee was chaired by Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique. Principals of Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad; Rawalpindi Medical College; Nishtar Medical College ,Multan; Quaid-i-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur; Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore; Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore; Shaikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan; and Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore, attended the meeting. The vice chancellor of University of Health Sciences, a representative of King Edward Medical University, the health secretary, the additional health secretary (technical), the additional chief secretary and Law Department officials were also present.

A senior Health Department official said participants of the meeting were told that the Supreme Court had abolished the 60:40 gender-based quota for medical colleges in 1991. He said the PMDC’s proposals contravened the spirit of Supreme Court’s verdict. He said that the new admission focusing on merit alone, had been announced in June. Admissions to medical colleges had begun under the policy. The PMDC proposal had come too late and could therefore not be implemented, the official said.

Another participant of the meeting said Pakistan was a signatory to the United Nations Charter that prohibited discrimination based on gender. “Reserving 50 per cent seats for men fell in that category.

An official from the Health Department said the committee’s recommendation would be sent to the chief minister as a summary. The Ministry of National Health Services will be asked to take up the matter with the PMDC. The Health Department will also write a letter to the PMDC in this regard. “We want to take all stakeholders on board,” he said. PMDC’s official data shows there are currently 142,017 registered medical practitioners in Pakistan.  Of them, 77,551 are men and 64,466 are women. There are 13,479 dentists practicing in Pakistan, 5,369 of them men and 8,110 women.

“The ratio of women practicing medicine is markedly lower than their share in medical college admissions. That does not mean we should restrict their admissions. We should provide women incentives and an environment conducive to work so they practice medicine rather than staying home,” said the principal of a public medical college.
