The beautiful purpose built building of FIRST, in classic Islamic architectural design, has a covered  area of about 30,000 sq.feet and the campus is spread over an area of 25 acres. The internet facility is available and is being extended PROSPECTS AND JOB OPPORTIUNITIES FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY GRADUATES 21st century has been named the century of biotechnology, and because of the advances in scientific knowledge in this field, it is proving to be so. There is a great demand for graduates  of biotechnology both in Pakistan and abroad in Public and private sector universities, Research stations and in Chemical, Pharmaceutical,  nuclear, environment, dairy industry and many other industries. Jobs in health industry are increasing many fold because Biotechnology is helping find treatments  of many hitherto untreatable diseases like cancer, viral and genetic disease. Research laboratories involving genetic engineering, vaccine and enzyme production clinical  laboratories, drug design and new drug development, crop and animal improvement, proteomics  and genomics research are some of the areas of study which will require biotech graduates. Gov:t is planning to start instruction in Biotechnology at higher secondary classes and will need  trained biotech graduates as teachers and instructors. ELEGIBILITY: F.Sc. FEE STRUCTURE: ADMISSION FEE, TUITION FEE, AND OTHER DUES University of Health Sciences Registration Fee. (one time only) Rs. 10,500/. The fee will be charged in two intallments. The following fee structure will apply. First intallment of the year for the first six months. Admission Fee(One Time Only) Rs. 6000 Tuition Fee Rs. 22,000 Laboratory Charges Rs. 5000 Examination Fee Rs. 1000 Total Rs. 34,000 Second and subsequent six monthly installments. Tuition Fee Rs. 22,000 Loboratory Charges Rs. 5000 Examination Fee Rs. 1000 Total Rs. 28,000 SCHEDULE: Admissions are open for 2013 class in B.S(Hons.) Biotechnology. Last date for submission of Admission form is 10th of October 2013. Interview will be held on 11th of October 2013. Eligibility: F.Sc(Pre-Med) or Equivalent with 50% marks. The Interview will be held at the city office at 69-Jinnah Colony near Chartri Wali Ground Faisalabad at 10 am on 11th of October 2013. Fees will be received between 12th-22nd of october 2013 and the classes will start on 3rd of November 2013.
